Dear Silver Ridge Parents and Students,

Welcome Back, Silver Ridge Bobcats! I hope this letter finds you rested, refreshed, and ready for an exciting new school year. As the summer days begin to wind down, we are eagerly preparing to open our doors and welcome you and your students back to another year of fun and learning. We are excited to see students back in the building soon!

In preparation for the upcoming school year, here are some important dates to be aware of:      

• August 21         Back to School Night 5:00 - 7:00 PM
• August 23         First Day of School for 1st- 6th Grades
• August 23-25    Early Out Days 
• August 23-25    Kindergarten KEEP Assessment by appointment (2o min.)
• August 28         First Day of Kindergarten 

Registration

As a reminder, all students within Weber School District must register each new school year.  Registration forms are found online and can be accessed through Weber School District’s PowerSchool website at https://weber.powerschool.com/public/home.html. Please access this process by logging in using your parent account. Once logged in, follow the promptings and instructions.  Please take this opportunity to update emergency contacts for your student. The following are the requirements for registration:

• Review and update demographic and emergency contact information for each student. (Print and update the Student Information page ONLY if there are changes that cannot be submitted through the PowerSchool portal.*)
• Complete digital signatures of district and school policies/procedures by both guardian and student.
• Print and complete additional documents applicable to your student.

*Please return any printed registration documents at Back to School Night on Monday, August 21st.

Class Assignments 

Class assignments for the 2023-2024 school year will be available on August 9th through your PowerSchool parent account. https://weber.powerschool.com/public/home.html 

Through your parent portal, you can see class assignments, update any information, access registration forms, view progress reports, and pay for your child’s lunch account. The link to pay any fees, if applicable, is available on the PowerSchool portal. This is found in the last step of the online registration process. 

Back to School Night 

Our Back to School Night will be on Monday, August 21st, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. We will have an open house format which will allow you to visit with your student’s assigned teacher. Additionally, our fabulous PTA will have a table set up near the main entrance for any of you who are interested in joining this incredible support team. 

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the principal at Silver Ridge Elementary. I look forward to all we will accomplish together for our children this year and can not wait to celebrate our collective successes. Here’s to another fantastic year at Silver Ridge Elementary!
