GREEN RIBBON DAY
Your child's safety is our top priority!
Join us in celebrating International Walk to School Day on Wednesday. August 27, 2025.
WEAR GREEN
The purpose of this day is to assess the conditions children face while walking to school and to teach and remind them of safety rules to follow while walking to school and around their neighborhoods.
-
Here are some safety tips for walking safely with your child:
-Never allow a child under age 10 to cross the street alone. Children need to be old enough to develop the skills needed to cross the street safely.
- Always model and teach proper pedestrian behavior.
- Instruct children to look left, right, and left when crossing the street and to continue looking as they cross.
- Teach them to cross at cross walks.
- Make sure children don't run into the streets or dart between parked cars and to stop and make sure cars aren't parking or backing up in driveways.
- Require children to wear reflective materials and carry a flashlight in low light or bad weather.

WEST FIELD HOPE NIGHT
Please join us for an amazing night featuring
guest speaker, Braxten Nielsen
Braxten, a Utah native and former rodeo athlete, faced
a life-changing injury after a devastating rodeo
accident. Told he might never walk again, Braxten
refused to let adversity define him. Through resilience,
faith, and an unbreakable spirit, he pushed past the
odds, turning hardship into a powerful message of
hope. Today, he inspires others with his story of
perseverance, proving that true strength comes from
rising each time we’re knocked down.

That's a wrap on the first day of school! Thank you to all our amazing helpers at the school and in the community who made the day run smoothly. Go Bobcats!

’Twas the night before school starts, and all through the halls,
The classrooms were ready, fresh decorations on the walls.
Teachers were prepping their lessons with care,
In hopes that their students soon would be there.
Backpacks were hung by the door with pride,
With pencils and notebooks all tucked safe inside.
The night felt electric, a buzz in the air,
Tomorrow brings learning, new memories to share.
We’re shaping the future each student, each day,
Inspiring minds, the Silver Ridge way!
We can't wait to greet you and cheer your return,
With lessons to teach and new things to learn.
Here’s to a new school year bright, bold, and true,
We’re shaping the future, & we’re so proud of you!
